Tradex Insurance Company Limited was founded in 1995 and specialises in Motor Trade, Taxi and unusual motor risks that most insurers prefer not to underwrite. Tradex has always prided itself on underwriting each policy on a bespoke basis, to meet the requirements of each policyholder. Not for us the “take it or leave it” attitude taken by many insurers.
In May 2008 Tradex acquired the book of business held by Westminster Motor Insurance Association, which was a taxi account exclusively sold through Appointed Agents. This acquistion made Tradex a leading player in the Private and Public Hire market.
Tradex have retained the name Westminster and apart from taxi business attached via their brokers, all taxi business is underwritten under the Trading name Westminster Insurance.
Tradex and Westminster are dedicated to providing the best and easiest to read policy covers, plus a first class claims service, that you as a self employed individual or business deserve.
